This compendium has been developed under the initiative ‘Women Artisan Skill Enhancement Project (WASEP)’ supported by Larsen and Toubro Infotech (LTI). The project aims to generate income sources for women in Mumbai and Thane districts in the state of Maharashtra by providing them decent work opportunity through training them in the traditional art form of Warli, building community enterprises and linking them to physical and digital markets. The compendium profiles a few of the 2,200 women supported by the project, across all age groups, who have benefited from this initiative and have since been able to take greater ownership of their finances and their lives.
