India is a signatory to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) since 1983 and a host to the 13th Conference of Parties (CoP) to CMS. In conformance to the objectives of CMS towards the conservation of migratory animals and sustainable use of their habitat ranges, UNDP has prepared a compendium of 10 best practices in nature-based solutions which recognize initiatives undertaken by a range of stakeholders towards protection, management and restoration of migratory species’ populations and their habitats in India.
