COVID-19 Comorbidity Risk Maps of India

WHO-China Joint Mission on Covid-19 observes “Individuals at highest risk for severe disease and death include people aged over 60 years and those with underlying conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease and cancer.”

Are there pockets in India with higher co-morbidity risk than others?

UNDP Accelerator Lab has explored this dimension using NFHS-4  bio-markers data and census datasets to map co-morbidity risk conditions in India. After processing large volumes of data for each district in India, we have produced following are maps that provide - acute hypertension, acute diabetes and acute respiratory illness profile of 600+ districts of India. These maps are opensource, license-free and can be easily accessed by clicking these interactive maps
