Ministry of Women and Child Development and UNDP to Collaborate on Women’s Empowerment

New Delhi - The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have signed a Charter of Collaboration to promote an integrated approach to empowering women in the country.

The Charter was signed by Smt. K. Ratna Prabha, Additional Secretary and Mission Director, National Mission for Empowerment of Women and Caitlin Wiesen, Country Director, UNDP India. The collaboration will focus on advancing a pilot convergence project underway to improve service delivery for women; further engagement on gender responsive policy; and exchange knowledge on gender issues. The Charter signing ceremony was part of the opening of the Vatsalya Mela by Smt. Krishna Tirath, Minister of Women and Child Development at Dilli Haat.
