The EWR Project was implemented in ten States in partnership with NGOs, with one NGO in each of the ten States implementing the project activities in one specific district. The key objectives of the project included: 1) to build the capacity of the elected women representatives and women’s groups to influence the local governance process, and 2) to strengthen existing networks of women in local governance and establishing new ones.
