United Nations Condemns Gang-Rape and Murder of Teenage Girls in Uttar Pradesh and Calls for Justice
The UN in India condemns the brutal gang-rape and murder of two teenaged girls on the night of May 28 in Katra village in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district and calls for immediate action against the perpetrators and to address violence against women and girls across India.

In a first of its kind initiative, the Department of Health and Family Welfare and UNDP signed a Memorandum of Understanding today under which UNDP will provide training to 50 doctors and other staff members of the Government of Delhi on procurement and supply chain management. The Agreement was signed by John Sorensen, Country Director, UNDP India and S.B. Shashank, Special Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
