Caitlin Wiesen, Resident Representative ai. and Country Director, UNDP India, discusses the significance of ICT in achieving human development, inclusive growth, improving the efficiency of public administration and transforming the way we interact with each other through deeply-grounded networks. She also highlights the role of Solution Exchange, the United Nations flagship knowledge management initiative in effectively moving beyond national boundaries and sectoral divides, to offer fresh perspectives on development challenges by analyzing, adapting and applying solutions built on the lessons learnt through an extensive and diverse community of practitioners.
Story of Change
The United Nations flagship knowledge management initiative, Solution Exchange has received the eWorld Public Choice Award at the Second eWorld Forum in New Delhi on 15 June. The growing network of over 35,000 members has been recognized in the category of ‘Best Initiative for Localized Application/ Content’.

Launched in 2005, Solution Exchange (SE) is a unique initiative by the United Nations in India that provides an impartial platform for exchange of knowledge and ideas among 33,000 (and growing!) development practitioners across 13 thematic areas (Communities of Practice - COPs).
